Herring, potato and apple salad

Potatoes and herring – the perfect combination.
Apple brings freshness.
From the specified amount of ingredients, 5-7 servings are obtained.

  • 300 g salted herring fillet
  • 3 eggs
  • 400 g potatoes
  • 250 g apples
  • 150 g onions
  • mayonnaise


Boil potatoes until tender.
Cool down.

Finely chop the onion.

Pour boiling water over the onion.
Leave for 10 minutes.
Drain the water.
Rinse the onion in cold water (this is done so that the onion does not taste bitter).

Peel potatoes.
Cut into cubes.

Dice herring fillet.

Peel the apple.
Remove core.
Cut into cubes.

Grate eggs on a medium grater.

Mix potatoes, eggs, herring, onion, apple.

Season with mayonnaise.
