Delicious, aromatic, rich soup.
Canned beans can be used, they must be added 10 minutes before cooking.
You can use fresh cabbage, but we like sauerkraut much more.
The amount of ingredients is indicated per 4 liter saucepan..

  • 500 g of meat (beef or pork)
  • 200 g beans
  • 200 g sauerkraut or fresh cabbage
  • 800 g potatoes
  • 150 g carrots
  • 150 g onions
  • 3-4 tbsp ketchup or tomato paste
  • salt
  • pepper


Soak beans in cold water for 3-4 hours.

Cut the meat into small pieces.

To fill with water.
Put on fire.
Cook for 1 hour.

Add beans.
Cook until almost done (about 30-40 minutes).

Peel potatoes.
Cut into cubes or sticks.

After the beans are almost cooked, add the potatoes.

Add cabbage.
Cook for 10 minutes.

Finely chop the onion.

Grate the carrots on a medium grater.

Fry the onions in vegetable oil.

Add carrots.
Fry a little.

Add tomato paste.
Simmer for 5 minutes.

Add sauteed onions and carrots.
Salt if necessary.
Cook until potatoes are tender.
